Armand Albert Rateau

A now out-of-print hardback book with dustjacket in good condition. 239 pages which are lavishly illustrated with colour and black & white illustrations of his designs and furniture - text is in french. In his relatively short career he was to become one of the most important designers of Art Deco furniture and interiors (he died in 1938), with an emphasis on Eygptian revivalist designs and metalware. Some of his most important designs were for the couturier Jeanne Lanvin and Spanish aristocrat The Duchess of Alba.
